The Legitterus company is the producer of a remote reading analog counter, a product that gives companies that require analogue measuring an edge. The Legitterus remote reading analog counter system is especially suitable for oil and gas pipelines, water supply systems, control operation of heavy machinery systems and the like i.e. it is suitable for any system already equipped with an analog counter (mechanical or other). The Legitterus system is unique because no modification of the counter is required, the reading unit just has to be installed on a previously installed counter. Similarly, in cases of remote or automated reading on units that already have a licence by a measuring authority, this system allows safe reading without violating the integrity of the authorised measuring unit. The Legitterus system provides accurate and fast measurement regardless of the work conditions (dark, pollution, humidity, smoke, temperature) and location (location of the system, distance, remoteness etc.) of the measurement unit. Furthermore, this system rules out the possibility of human error either in measurement, recording or input of the data into a computer system. The Legitterus system represents a tool for quality management and supply planning based on collecting, processing and analyzing data. The statistics alone are not good enough indicators for better decision making – to make quality decisions, you need a system developed around dynamic monitoring of the supply system, focusing on real-time monitoring (day or day/night consumption). Collecting data in real-time not only facilitates a better management of the supply system, it also provides a tool to identify anomalies in the maintenance, including cost management. On the other hand, integrating the collected data with a GIS system also enables the user to monitor the entire system and plan its development end expansion.
