Lemon Drizzle Recruitment is a specialist construction recruitment agency based in County Durham. It was founded by me, ‘Rachel with the lemon cakes’. I specialise in white collar positions across commercial, operational and technical disciplines and have over 10 years’ experience in the industry. So why lemon drizzle… There’s a story behind the name. You’re probably wondering what’s the connection with lemon cakes and construction, right? Well, it goes back to when I started out in the recruitment industry in 2013. My Granny used to bake lemon drizzle cakes for me and I would fill my boot and deliver them to my lovely clients and it’s just kind of stuck! Just before she sadly passed away, she said I had to take over and keep her legacy going and I have! It’s taken some time to perfect them but hopefully I’m doing her justice. Now back to recruitment…. So, not only do I make the best lemon cakes around, I’m also pretty darn good at recruitment! After dreaming about starting my own business for years, I’ve finally taken the step and done it. I’m confident in my ability to seek out and attract the very best talent for my clients. I will take a detailed brief and I follow it, acting like a brand ambassador and promoting your business like I’m part of it. What you’ll get from me is dedication, honesty, loyalty and total commitment to any assignment given to me. I focus on quality over quantity and I’m not going to fill your inbox with 25% match candidates in the hope one ‘sticks’.
