About Lenawee Community Chorus

The Lenawee Community Chorus, at 57 years strong, is Michigan’s oldest continually operating ensemble of its type — a no-audition group composed of local people of all musical backgrounds, ages and abilities who share a common love of coming together and making music. The community chorus recently announced it is registering singers for its fall season. Ages 16 to 100 are welcome to sign up. “If you share our love of music, whether you sang in high school, college, church or community choirs, come join us,” the Lenawee Community Chorus said in a news release. “... If you can sing, you are qualified.” Under the direction of Brad Pierson, registering singers will perform traditional choral pieces, period and regional pieces, arrangements of traditional and folk songs, and new pieces of music written by up-and-coming artists.
