About Lenfest Scholars Foundation
Since 2002, the Lenfest College Scholarship Program (LCSP) has supported talented rural students from our partner high schools in southeastern and central Pennsylvania to enroll and succeed in college. Lenfest Scholars receive college scholarships, assistance in applying for college admission and financial aid, and advice and support throughout their college years. In 2014, the Lenfest Scholars Foundation (LSF) was established to administer the program. With the success of the LCSP in identifying outstanding Scholars and the Scholars’ success in gaining admission to selective colleges, the mission of the program has broadened. This expanded mission includes personalized college and high school advising, events and workshops, college visit funding, SEEF Program opportunities to enrich academic work or career planning, and access to our growing alum network upon graduation. The Foundation now works with 23 partner high schools and supports over 140 students currently in college, 40 new high school Scholars each year, and over 400 alumni.
