About Les Twentyman Foundation
The Les Twentyman Foundation provides crucial support services for young people and their families. Our clients are young people between five and 25 years who come from families experiencing multiple stresses including poverty, mental health issues, unemployment, addiction, domestic violence and crime. Our work focuses on keeping young people engaged with their education, families and society more broadly, so that they don’t lose hope and end up on the streets or worse still in the youth justice system. We were founded by Les Twentyman, one of Australia’s most well-known and respected youth workers. We’ve been working with at risk youth for a long time – more than 30 years – and we’ve learnt over that time is that education is key to helping young people create a brighter future for themselves and their families. The Les Twentyman Foundation programs and services cover education-support, sports and recreation, counselling, personal development, life–experiences and employment pathways.
