The Liberal Arts and Management Program at Indiana University is home to the Management + Human Organization major, as well as the esteemed Honors Certificate in Management. LAMP offers students the opportunity to study business and management in the context of a liberal arts education. Interested in core business basics, but also want to explore a major or minor that's important to you? Through the Management + Human Organization major, students learn why the business world works, as well as how it works. LAMPers take courses through the College of Arts and Sciences as well as the Kelley School of Business, and walk away with fundamental communication, business, and analytical skills. These skills will help students land jobs in a variety of fields, and rise to management positions. The LAMP Honors Certificate in Management is a perfect fit for students who already have a major that they love, but who have a strong interest in learning about business and management. High-achieving students apply to the competitive program, where they are able to take small, seminar-style classes with dedicated faculty members. LAMP honors students study their interests through their majors—whether that's outer space, sustainable interior design, or the evolution of mountains. Then, they collaborate with LAMP faculty and students to examine current issues and the global business climate. They explore important questions like how supply and demand works in black markets, how to think about consumerism in American society, and whether the American Dream is viable today.
