Liberty Academy Trust is a growing Trust of schools with expertise in SEND and Autism. Our core purpose is to provide an exceptional educational offer for all children, ensuring their needs are met, and they are well-prepared to become active citizens of the future. Our commitment to inclusive practice permeates every school, every department, and every policy - but we know more is to be done in increasing the knowledge and understanding of SEND and Autism across society. We pride ourselves on an engaging and well-considered curriculum that offers a range of pathways to success, but we are also incredibly fortunate to offer therapeutic support in every school so that all children can benefit from holistic care that promotes self-advocacy and responsibility. All colleagues across the Trust are supported in their professional development, with a combination of in-house training and paid for professional qualifications on offer to staff at all levels. If we want to provide an exceptional education, then we need exceptional staff to deliver this. Our Student Executive Team are a crucial element of our school improvement model, and we listen carefully and respectfully to their views, offering solutions and explanations to observations and challenges they put to us. We are looking to grow; we actively embrace creativity and are never satisfied with the status quo. We have spent the last few years enhancing our offer and developing innovative approaches to pedagogy and practice, and we now believe we can support individual schools - and the sector in general - to improve educational outcomes for more children with SEND.
