Wayne County, Indiana has many wonderful animal rescue groups that try their best to help each other out. Unfortunately, with a couple exceptions, many of those shelters are forced to euthanize ‘unwanted animals’ to make room for ‘more adoptable’ ones. Gary Sigler, our founder, had a vision to create a sanctuary for those ‘unwanted animals’ because our mindset is that no animal should go without a loving home. We are working hard at Liberty Acres to create the sanctuary of Gary’s dreams–and we could use YOUR HELP! We are still in the early stages of development, but we’ve already come such a long way. We are in need of volunteers to help build animal housing, fence-in the property, and many other things. We are also in financial need. We are doing well as of now, but being as we have no money coming in, we are going to need help. Helping homeless animals is something that we feel everyone can get behind.
