About Library Center of the Ozarks
Library Center of the Ozark’s rich history began in 1933, when a group of Presbyterian women united to form a study club. Motivated by a desire to provide books to the surrounding area, these women formed Taneyhills Library after receiving a donated copy of The Shepherd of the Hills. Taneyhills Library served the Taney County community as a private library for decades until January 2, 2024, when it became Library Center of the Ozarks, Taney County’s first public library. LCO now serves the Branson and Hollister communities by providing books, essential public resources, and engaging programs.
