Licensed Tutors is a tutoring service located in the heart of Woking, Surrey, United Kingdom. Based at the Maybury Centre (GU21 5HD), this tuition centre was started by qualified teachers to provide premium tutoring at affordable prices. The pedagogical model employed comprises of a 1:4 teacher-to-pupil ratio, monthly report cards, and communication with school teachers to ensure that the tutoring is hitting its mark. Licensed Tutors provides support to students in year 1 all the way to year 11 (GCSE) in the core subjects of English, maths, and science. Professionalism is the crux of our company culture and the name Licensed Tutors itself is inspired from the fact that most of our tutors are professional, licensed practitioners in state and private schools in the UK. Having a degree in a relevant subject is the minimum requirement to be even considered for a teaching post at our centre. Alongside high academic standards, special attention is paid to teaching quality and tracking of our students' progress. Unlike commercialised franchises such as Kumon or Explore Learning, we are the only study centre in town that follows the national curriculum including notable exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, and OCR. Furthermore, our teachers have extensive experience preparing students for 7+,11+, 14+, SATs, and GCSE/iGCSE examinations. Given that our services are offered at less than half of the hourly cost of securing a private home tutor (who may not even be qualified to teach), it is a no-brainer why our company has experienced exponential growth since its inception.
