About Life for a Life Memorial Forest
Life for a Life is a small charity that the was founded in 1999 in the North West of England, where the first memorial trees were planted by the charity at Strinesdale Country Park, Oldham. Since then the charity has grown with the help of our partners and now offers memorial tree planting within 50 memorial forests across the North and South West of England and where available memorial bench installation as well. Over time the trees within these memorial forests will develop into beautiful places that anyone can visit and enjoy. Life for a Life has been specially designed to benefit individuals and families who are grieving due to the lost of a loved one; hopefully helping ease the negative feelings of pain and loss for those who use the charity’s services. A key aim of the charity is help replace the impact of bereavement by replacing negative feelings with more uplifting ones by establishing a new life in the form of a tree. Planting a memorial tree is available to all members of the public regardless of age, status or religious beliefs. Life for a Life is a registered not for profit charity (Charity No. 1096422) which makes donations of health related organisations including hospitals, hospices and health care related organisations across the UK.
