About LifeAct of Northeast Ohio

LifeAct of Northeast Ohio (formerly known as Suicide Prevention Education Alliance) is an educational non-profit organization that teaches Northeast Ohio middle and high school students to recognize depression in themselves and others which will prevent suicide. By sending trained, caring instructors into small classroom settings we empower the students with knowledge and encourage them to act by letting a trusted adult know if they are someone they know have symptoms of depression or signs of suicidal thoughts. Depression is treatable and suicide is preventable! We serve over 20,000 students each year. In 2013-2014 one in twenty students came forward to one of our instructors to let them know that they needed help. Our program works! We save young lives!
