About LifeLine International
Our vision is that, by 2050, every person in the world has access to impactful crisis support services to reduce deaths by suicide. Our network includes 37 Members operating across 29 countries. We work with our members to ensure more crisis support suicide prevention resources are available in more places, with greater access and reduced barriers to those seeking help. We find collective ways to improve helpseekers’ access to crisis support, and support start-up crisis support services in high-need countries. Our unique contribution is to support: 1. our members to grow and be more effective; 2. underserved regions of the world; 3. the continual evolution and innovation of crisis support services; and 4. legislative reform in countries where suicide remains a crime. Yet still nearly half a billion people live in countries without any access to free 24/7 crisis support, and where suicide remains a crime. The World Health Organisation recognises crisis support services such as LifeLine as an effective element in National Suicide Prevention strategies providing easily accessible community support service to those in need. Crisis lines play a critical role in the continuum of suicide prevention care. For more information on the various LifeLine Member Helplines across the world please visit our website. Talking about suicidality and suicide prevention is important but at times very difficult and can trigger a strong emotional response. If you need access to crisis support and suicide prevention services, access the global "Find a Helpline” service at https://lifeline-international.com/
