About Lifespring Community Health
LifeSpring exists to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by providing a pediatric clinic with exemplary medical staff and innovative services that embrace the whole child, serve their family, and transform the health of our community. Our desire is to see our community transformed as we provide care that is: Preventative - countering disease before it’s onset through diet, exercise, and health education, Relational - walking with our patients towards healing through relationships built on trust and mutual respect, Holistic - seeking healing in all dimensions of life - physically, spiritually, emotionally, and economically, Culturally appropriate - eliminating healthcare barriers and bridging cultural, racial, and linguistic divides, and Empowering - equipping our community to take ownership of their health and realize their own health goals. LifeSpring provides health care to children, the majority of whom live in low-income homes. Our staff includes pediatricians, nurse practitioners, nurses and support staff. We also uniquely incorporate community health workers who connect with families in the clinic, their homes, and the community. The community health workers implement interventions focused on asthma, obesity, social determinants of health, and mental health. Though this model exists in other cities, no other organization in Chattanooga is structured in this way.
