Welcome to LifeStone At the core of what we do is a steel frame system. We specifically use Cold Form Steel (CFS). Steel has been used in construction since the 1885. EPS foam is used as the core of the walls in our system. Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam is a lightweight, rigid, closed-cell foam insulation material widely used in construction for its thermal efficiency, versatility, and cost-effectiveness. Composed of 98% air, EPS is easy to handle and install, reducing labor costs. All versions of our coatings uniquely bind directly to the EPS foam. This is how we avoid using any drywall in our homes. The coatings are used for exterior stucco and interior plaster. All are fire, flood, mold and mildew resistant. A core belief of LifeStone is to build homes that are not only affordable to buy but are affordable to own. What does this mean to us? We have to think in terms of what is known as Total Cost of Ownership. The cost of owning a home is more than the mortgage payment. You also have to include taxes, insurance, utilities and maintenance. This is a paradigm shift in the way we build affordable, attainable housing for our communities.
