About Lift Up Long Island
Lift Up Long Island is a non-profit organization that provides Long Island school districts with new ways to be a part of their community’s positive transformation (at no cost to taxpayers). Our program empowers teams of students in diverse schools throughout Long Island to research and create socially innovative solutions to challenges specific to their region and interests. Students then launch social impact ventures aimed at creating a lasting community impact. Through experiential learning, students develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills that help prepare them for success in the future global economy, while also addressing real-world needs within their schools and communities. A partnership with Lift Up Long Island has potential benefits for every Long Island school and community that faces social, economic, and environmental challenges.
