About Lifting The Pyramid

Lifting The Pyramid aims to better health outcomes by raising health literacy rates in communities and mobilizing community members to perform crucial nonmedical tasks at the point of care. We believe these two measures to be intimately intertwined: health awareness is a crucial component of better health outcomes but it alone does not address the problems that arise at the point of care. With the increasing shortage of medical professionals, direct intervention will allow us to free up healthcare worker time enough to maintain adequate service at the point of care. We believe that our two-pronged approach will help redistribute and ease the burden of the healthcare system and fortify the public health pyramid, making an impact not only during this pandemic but in the long term as we seek sustainable solutions to the world’s health problems, one community at a time.
