Liftup was founded in 2003 based on the idea behind FlexStep: The idea of a staircase and a wheelchair lift in one product. Liftup was established with NOVI Innovation in Aalborg as a co-investor and partner. Liftup is a 100 % private owned Danish company located in Støvring in North Jutland with a global distributor network and subsidiaries in more countries. Liftup’s mission is to continuously develop and market new and innovative products within welfare technology to create "equal opportunities for all". “Equal opportunities for all” truly means for ALL. Liftup constantly strives to develop welfare technology products which are an aid to handicapped persons and people with limited mobility, yet at the same time are pleasing to the eye and thanks to the aesthetical design enjoyable to others as well. All Liftup’s solutions are developed with focus on aesthetics and design – and with that in mind we only sell products that we would be pleased to include in our own lives. We collaborate with consultants and users of our products not only with function liability in focus; the aesthetic in the design process is given priority as well. The user’s safety precedes everything when a new solution is put into use. Liftup knows the importance of stability and comfort for the user. Our products meet the applicable safety requirements – just like intuitive operation contributes to a generally positive experience of our products.
