Ligamina Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charity with its legal headquarters in Columbus, South Carolina, and operational headquarters in New York. Ligamina is part of the U.S. chapter of the Global Compact. The charity was founded by a group of young graduates in economic and humanities disciplines who are eager to serve the community, particularly all its most vulnerable groups, with a special focus on the young generations. Ligamina aims to contribute to preserve cultural treasures for future generations and to building a society in which culture, and particularly art in all its forms, serves as an effective tool for social sustainability, territorial enhancement and cohesion, and inclusion of vulnerable contexts. Ligamina is committed to realizing this vision for the future through targeted educational projects with schools of all levels, restoration initiatives, scholarships for young researchers, and projects that enhance local territories and communities by fostering dialogue between institutions and individuals. Additionally, Ligamina gives scientific support to social, artistic, sports, and cultural projects. According to Ligamina, carrying out social and cultural projects means, first and foremost, promoting and implementing inclusion by giving a voice to people, supporting vulnerable groups, recovering collective memory, and revitalizing the spirit of places: a mission that the charity has embraced and committed to for over ten years.
