About Light.Func

Light.Func is an award-winning lighting consultancy with offices in Dubai, UAE and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We aim to provide the built environment with a holistic approach to lighting design: both creative and technical. We do not produce only beautiful images; we use technical methodology, to give rise to finished projects that are beyond awe-inspiring. Each project is different, and we treat it as so, with the ultimate goal being satisfied customers – home-owners, operators, restauranteers, entrepreneurs, architectects, interior designers, consultants, and ultimately the inhabitants of the spaces we design. Our passion for light prevails in all disciplines of architecture and design: heritage, retail, residential, commercial, hospitality, masterplanning, exhibition, temporary art spaces - we approach all projects and discipline with the same gusto - an imaginative and fun design process, because simply we love what we do! Rather than limit ourselves to a description of which projects we work on, we would rather say we bring soul light to any and all spaces, in and out. We create spatial visibility, appreciation, as well as aid function and productivity in tandem with all the professionals involved in each project, as a flexible team player – light being a crucial element of every space & project. All Light.Funcers stem from an architectural, engineering or design discipline. An inherent zest for architecture and all things design make our approach to design more sensual - every detail does not go unnoticed. The result: a functional, func’d space, through and through.
