About Light of Hope Learning Center
In 2017, Laura Johnson's daughter, Mary Charles, was diagnosed with autism. As an educator, Laura knew the importance of early intervention, but she had a lot to learn about autism. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy kept coming up in her search, but there were not ABA facilities within a 90 mile radius of their home. After getting on every waiting list between Savannah and Jacksonville, Mary Charles finally started ABA therapy. Within 6 months, Laura and her dad, Larry Daugherty, could not believe the progress! Immediately, Laura and Larry started working to bring those services to Glynn County. In May of 2020, Light of Hope opened its doors. We are proud of our 5,300 square foot clinic, and we are proud to have served our community for almost five years now!
