About Light & Shadow Media
I (Chao-Kuang Hsieh, most of the people call me Chao) received my MFA degree in Film Production in 2005 and a MS degree in Audio Engineering in 2007. I began my career as a professional video editor in 2007, providing expert video editing, video compositing, graphics, 3D and audio engineering services. I have produced works for famous Hollywood actress Diane Baker as well as directors / producers such as Harry Winer, Robert Butler, Michael Braverman, and Rhys Ludlow. During the past 3 years of providing post-production services, my clients included Calidus Software, Warner Brothers, Brevidia and the Academy of Art University. My documentary “Gong-Yi” won the Best Short Documentary award at the 2005 IFFF, and “Mines to Vines” was nominated at the 2008 European Film Festival. Combining a creative mind with strong eye and multi-task skills, I quickly built a reputation for “good story teller and disaster shots saver” and became many clients’ favorite editor. I am passionate about my post-production work and am willing to accept challenging work in any competitive environment. I never give up because I just love my work.
