Lights-On Consulting Limited was established in 2005 to provide pragmatic consultancy primarily to Law Firms and other professional service firms in their use of IT. Lights-On was set up by Peter Owen who, for 10 years until 2005, was the IT Director for Eversheds which at the time was one of the largest law firms in the World with some 4500 people in the firm. The majority of Lights-On’s consultants have held very senior positions in law firms as well as being experienced consultants and clients have commented that the blend of real law firm experience and consulting experience allows us to provide excellent, experience based advisory services to them. The growing team has a broad experience in all aspects of corporate IT ranging from IT Service and Service Desks through IT systems and systems development to IT project delivery, strategy and mentoring. It is believed that this experience backed by a practical, friendly, no-nonsense nature and a network of associates will bring benefit to other commercial law and professional service firms of all sizes who feel their IT could be further improved or greater return on investment extracted. To date all of Lights-On Consulting's work has been via an approach from firm's to us, from recommendation or from repeat work. We don't approach firms using cold call or cold e-mail methods. We are and plan to remain fiercely independent. Whilst we do consult to suppliers on occasion to help the market, like law firms, we ensure this does not conflict with our client work and we never sell products or take commission from any of the product sales that may result from our work with clients.
