About Limb Difference Collective Foundation

Founded by Kari Treat and Ali Barnum, the Limb Difference Collective is dedicated to building a supportive and inclusive community for individuals with limb differences and their families. Our Story: Inspired by our shared experiences as mothers of children with congenital limb differences, and eventually finding other families in our community, we recognized the need for connection, resources, and change. We're creating a space where parents can find community, support, and valuable resources on this unique journey. Our Initiatives: * Connecting Families: Organizing local meetups (like our annual Brookfield Zoo event during Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month in April!). * Educating Professionals: Collaborating with hospitals, obstetricians, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists nationwide. * Providing Resources: Offering resource bundles directly to families and through medical professionals across the U.S, as well as continuing to bring you the Parenting Children with Limb Differences Podcast where we're empowering families with informative interviews and hearing stories that resonate with every one of us in some way.
