Manager of JEREMIE Co-Investment Fund INVESTMENT SIZE AND ASSET CLASSES - Dedicated to Slovak SMEs only - Fund’s total capital commitments are in excess of € 12 mil. - Maximum investment into a single SME not to exceed € 2.75 mil. Typical investment size to be between € 0.5 to 2.0 mil. - Risk capital investments only, taking form of either equity or quasi-equity instruments - Seed capital, start-up capital and expansion capital (i.e. fresh equity) GEOGRAPHICAL FOCUS - Eligible SME must be established in Slovakia (100%) and operating in Slovakia at the time of the first investment INVESTMENT CRITERIA - Strong innovative focus and a documented potential to build distinct competitive advantage - Well-defined and scalable business model with commercial potential to capitalise on the competitive advantage - Competent, highly focused and credible management team aimed to excel - Technological and management capabilities to develop and implement the initial concept (for seed phase), introduce new product or service to market (for start-up capital) or generate significant growth potential in intra-European or global context - Having a proven technology base and clear technology angle - Aligned interest of project sponsors with generating investor return - Visibility of break-even point - Potential to generate value in 4-7 years of investment horizon with exits probable in the same period (including visible funding plan for financing of further expansion if envisaged during the investment horizon) PRIORITY AREAS - Health – quality of life - Progressive materials and technologies - Biotechnologies - Knowledge technologies supported by ICT - Infrastructure for development of society - Energy and energetics - Security and defense (only SMEs of civilian character) - The use, protection and reproduction of biological resources - Protection of the environment - Use of domestic raw materials resources
