Lion Haircare, or simply ‘Lion’ as it is more commonly known, is a global manufacturer of Hairnets and major importer of Disposable Protective Wear. The business operates primarily through two business segments: Lion Disposables – products for use in hygiene critical environments; Lion Haircare - supplies to the hair and beauty sector With import know-how built up over more than 30 years, we are increasingly selected as an outsource partner. We are trusted by some of the world’s largest companies to, source, plan, stock hold and deliver their international requirements for disposable and/or beauty wear. Operations We operate from modern, multi-million pound premises owned by our Group in Nottingham, UK. This facility provides 50,000 square feet of prime manufacturing, warehousing and office space. Objectives Rapid customer servicing with a choice of product qualities and comprehensive before and after sales support. Wide-ranging advice about key features of product design in critical hygiene environments. Outsourced import purchasing solutions for our customers. Employees As one of the six companies under the Nottingham Textile Group umbrella our UK manufacturing specialism is technical textiles. Our entire hairnet range is designed, engineered and produced by a diverse and talented team at Nottingham. We are proud that many of our employees choose to stay with us for their whole working career. The current team has been handed down traditional, technical and manufacturing skills and has added to their knowledge with the very latest hi-tech developments and training. Global position Whilst valuing our local, family-company history, which stretches back over 125 years, today we are a global operator serving enterprises from sole traders through to US Fortune 500, multi-national corporations. Our exports go to each of the world’s continents (excluding Antarctica!).
