About LipidEv

LipidEv Ltd. is an established company founded in 2014 by Dr. Derek W. Clissold specifically to develop and manufacture stable analogs of the recently discovered powerful anti-inflammatory bioactive lipids named specialized pro-resolving mediators: SPMs. These mediators are now emerging from the rapidly developing field of Resolution Based Pharmacology with great potential as therapeutics in a very wide range of inflammatory conditions and diseases. In addition these molecules are also increasingly being linked as significant players in the emerging 'Inflamm-aging' arena. The SPM field is rapidly unfolding but has been hampered by the metabolic and chemical instability of the native endogenous molecules thus giving rise to increasing demand for SPM stabilised analog / mimetics as standards and structural models for therapeutic development. LipidEv has the synthetic technology expertise amongst its staff for the development of stable analogs of these complex molecules amassed over many years combined experience in the pharma industry and at Cascade Biochem Ltd., an earlier company founded by Dr. Clissold and focused in the main on similar bioactive lipid molecules including native leukotrienes and prostaglandins and their analog pharmaceuticals.
