Founded in 1981, Lipps & Son is an award winning commercial general contractor with offices in Hawaii, California and the Midwest. Services include new construction, renovations, historic preservation, ecclesiastical, hospitality, design / build and construction management. We have worked in nineteen states and four islands over the past thirty years. Hawaii Contractor's License # 27660 California Contractor's License # 972291 Member of Hawaii BBB with an A+ Rating In 2006, Lipps & Son was presented a "Preservation Award" by the Cincinnati Preservation Association for the rehabilitation of the former Covington Sears, Roebuck & Company Store. In 2007, Lipps & Son opened a second office and was issued a Hawaii general contractors license. In 2008, Lipps & Son won the "Presidents" and "People's Choice" awards at the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce Building & Design Expo. In January 2010, Chuck sold all interests in the Cincinnati based company. His sole focus is in Hawaii, California, and with national accounts. In April 2012, Lipps & Son was issued a California general contractor license. An office in Los Angeles was opened in May 2012. In June 2012, Lipps & Son received the 2012 Kona - Kohala Chamber of Commerce Pualu Award for Environmental Awareness. The Environmental Awareness Award honors an individual/organization that exhibits environmental sensitivity through innovative business practices or programs. Pualu is a Hawaiian word meaning "to work together".
