About Lirata

Lirata is a social justice multiplier. Through consulting and capacity building, we strengthen the ability of organisations with a charitable or social purpose to achieve socially just outcomes for communities. We support the work of organisations who are protecting human rights, caring for those in need, and creating positive social and economic alternatives. We partner widely to develop constructive solutions to social and environmental issues. We are an independent not-for-profit organisation and are based in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. We are a social enterprise, certified by Social Traders. We specialise in the health, community services, education and international development sectors, within Australia and internationally. We foster effective policy and service delivery, sustainable organisations, and ethical approaches. We provide expert consultancy to government, service providers, peak bodies, advocacy organisations and other social purpose organisations. We undertake research and evaluation; measure impact; review and develop service models; create data and reporting systems; strengthen organisational systems; and support strategic planning and change management. Our consultancy practice was established in 2010. We also build capacity through training, mentoring and systems development, with particular expertise in evaluation capacity building. We create and share tools, frameworks and approaches for advancing social justice. Our team have outstanding skills and decades of experience in service planning and implementation, management and governance, research, evaluation and advocacy.
