About Lit
At Lit, we're creating a world where every kid, everywhere, is a reader. We specialize in helping leaders design, implement, and sustain every element of their reading program, from the instructional materials in teachers’ hands to the data systems that drive decision-making. We offer comprehensive 360° audits of your current reading ecosystem, "Learn & Design" professional learning modules where your team can investigate and redesign systems, structures, and materials, and side-by-side implementation support. Today, just one-third of U.S. fourth graders are reading proficiently. Research tells us that 95% can with high-quality, research-aligned instruction. It's not where we're born that matters. It's how we're taught to read that matters. Our team helps translate the "science of reading" (the research about how we learn to read) into the science of teaching reading. And we partner with school system leaders to implement those research-backed practices at scale. To date, our work has impacted more than 50,000 students, with 97% of those students identifying as students of color.
