About Little Board Woodworking
Little Board Woodworking is a family-owned custom furniture business operating in Chicago, IL. We focus on creating beautiful high-end pieces that will last a lifetime. By using reclaimed wood in many of our designs, we create sustainable handmade furniture that often has a rustic and modern aesthetic. For the past seven years, we have been honing our craft as furniture makers and fine woodworkers. Founded in 2014, Little Board is our adventure into the world of small business, and is our attempt at solving an issue we find in the custom furniture scene: a lack of truly custom work. Choosing a selection of stains from a lookbook of twenty options is not custom woodwork, yet we see it everywhere in the furniture market. We are instead focused on offering a truly customizable furniture production experience. Our passion for creating the best products has led us to work with some of the best local wood suppliers. We work with them to hand-pick each piece of lumber we use to create a truly one of a kind object.
