About Little Chefs, Big Change

Our mission is to get kids excited about food that’s good for both people and the planet. We do this by teaching affordable and fun plant-focused cooking and increasing access to healthy foods in schools and communities. - We bring fun, informative, and hands-on programs to schools, camps, and communities to engage kids and their families in healthy cooking. We teach plant-centric, affordable recipes that kids like and that sustain the health of both people and the planet. Through these programs, kids and families receive the cooking skills and resources they need to confidently adopt healthy eating habits. - We engage students and families over an extended period of time in order to provide sustained access to the tools, resources, and knowledge necessary to help them realize their dietary goals. Big investment, big change. - We demonstrate to teachers, administrators, volunteers and parents that not only can kids cook, they can and will eat healthy food too. This has great value in and of itself. - We build demand for healthy school food from within the school community. - We work with schools to add healthy, plant-centric meals to their menus. - We seek to transform the food landscape to make healthy eating an accessible and affordable option, regardless of where you live. - We provide kid-approved plant-based recipes to other organizations that teach cooking and nutrition.
