About Little Forests McGill
We are a student-led organisation planting dense microforests on and around the McGill University campus to combat climate change, increase student mental health, and restore biodiversity. We use the Miyawaki planting method to allow for local that can thrive in an urban setting. Little Forests McGill is based on the unceded Indigenous land of Tiotià:ke, which is a historical gathering place for many First Nations tribes. We acknowledge and respect the long-standing relationship between these tribes, namely the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation, and the land on which we are located.
