About Little Guru Kids Yoga and Creative Arts Studio

Little Guru Kids Yoga and Creative Arts Studio offers yoga and art classes to children of all ages. We also offer summer camps, birthday parties, teacher workday workshops and kids yoga teacher training. We are one of three Registered Childrens Yoga Schools in North Carolina offering the official certification to become a RCYT (Registered Childrens' Yoga Teacher). We offer classes in studio and we also travel to public schools, preschools, country clubs, daycare centers, community centers, and any other place that organizations are looking for yoga and mindfulness for children. We train our teachers in house and send them out to work in the community. We also offer many specialty trainings that aren't just for those in the 95 hour program. From Bringing Yoga, Mindfunless and Meditation in the Classroom, The Business of Yoga, Bringing Yoga to Children with Special Needs and more, we offer a rich program for continuing education for teachers. The word guru is translated to English as "remover of darkness". We truly believe that all beings are brought into this world full of light. Sometimes life does the disservice of putting that light out. At Little Guru, we offer a sacred space where those lights can shine brightly and strongly, no matter who or where or why they are there. We truly believe in children being the light and the future and that giving them the gift of yoga can help change the world, one peaceful Little Guru at a time.
