About Little People's Place
Little People’s Place first opened our doors to children in 1974. Today, more than three decades later, we are caring for the children of our first class of LITTLE PEOPLE’S PLACE graduates! Located in Westminster, MD , we have remained the community’s most trusted childcare provider by offering children highly educated and experienced teachers and advanced learning opportunities. All Little People’s Place employees are trained and certified in early childhood development, and our state of the art facility is designed to provide an educational, safe, and family-oriented environment for children ages 14 months to 10 years old. At Little People’s Place safety and security are a top priority. All of our play structures, toys and play areas are maintained to national safety standards and are in quality condition. Our security is equipped with a keyless entry system to provide a secure environment for the children, families, and staff. Our campus has video surveillance that monitors the entrances to the facility. Little People’s Place is currently licensed to provide care for up to 200 children at any one time. We offer a variety of program options to meet the needs of the community. We use our own private preschool curriculum that has been aligned with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) approved curriculum to prepare children for entrance to kindergarten. Little People’s Place participates in MSDE programs. We accept Child Care Scholarship vouchers. Our teachers participate in the Workforce Advancement Program with training and credential certifications. The center is MSDE accredited and Maryland EXCELS level 5.
