About Little Theatre of Manchester
Founded in 1960 by 23 theater-loving members of the community, the organization now boasts five main stage productions each year and more than 3,000 actors, crew, and other volunteers over our history. In the past, productions were offerd at local high school auditoriums, now our home is in historic Cheney Hall, the oldest operating theater in the State of Connecticut. From dramas like Our Town to comedies like Laughter on the 23rd Floor, and musicals from Fiddler on the Roof to The Drowsy Chaperone, we've done it all! Our volunteer cast, crew, box office and production people are talented and generous in their time and efforts to make your time with us both pleasurable and inspiring. Volunteers are always needed, and we especially enjoy working with young people who have an interest but need the mentoring to learn about light and sound design, costuming and stage management. Financial support is also always needed and we welcome everyone from one time playbill advertisers to season sponsors. Come Play With Us!
