About Live Educate Transform Society (LET'S)
Live Educate Transform Society utilizes the lived expertise of 2SLGBTQIA+, disabled, and/or neurodivergent people to create amazing educational opportunities. LETS is well known for our workshops, presentations, and panel discussions. We have a wide range of workshops on a variety of subjects such as: Breaking Barriers, Crip Kindness, Disability Awareness, Disability Justice, Gender & Sexuality, Imposter Syndrome, Neurodiversity, and Queer + Trans History (BC, Canada, and trivia game). Clients include: City of Vancouver, Correctional Service Canada, Health Sciences Association, Inclusion Yukon, SFU, and Women Transforming Cities. As an organization started and completely staffed by disabled and/or neurodivergent people, accessibility has been a priority from the start. LETS has done accessibility audits for clients such as The Polygon Gallery, The Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art, Massy Arts Society, Neworld Theatre, and Vancouver Pride Society. LETS also works on advocacy and research projects such as: Organizational Stigma Assessment Cycle Project (OSAC), with Pacific Aids Network. OSAC will support organizations to learn where they may unintentionally be contributing to experiences of stigma and discrimination, and identify areas for growth and change. Canadian Feminist Disability Coalition (CFDC), a 30 month pan-Canadian systemic change project established by the Live Work Well Research Centre at the University of Guelph, in collaborative partnership with civil society organizations and stakeholders to build the leadership and advocacy skills of diverse women and girls with disabilities to become agents of change for their rights in Canada. Realize’s National Guiding Circle on HIV and Disability project maps existing HIV resources and services across the country. Focused on resources and services that are tailored for people living with disabilities. Seek to identify gaps in supports and forge linkages across the HIV and Disability sectors.
