About Living Imaginaries

Living Imaginaries brings together the bold and the grounded, combining creative re‑imagination with practical pathways for structural change. We are a mission‑driven startup working at the intersection of climate change, biodiversity, food, health, and justice — approaching them not as isolated problems but as expressions of deeper political and economic systems that need to be transformed. Our focus is on reshaping those systems and the imaginaries that sustain them. We collaborate with communities, councils, NGOs, social enterprises, international organisations, and national governments to unlock new ways of seeing and acting — from advancing biodiversity governance across oceans and cities rooted in relationships rather than market or growth‑driven logics, to building food systems that nourish people and ecosystems while building social equity. Our approach bridges arts and sciences, and policy and practice. Based between Europe and Asia, we create space for grounded dialogue across diverse ways of knowing and making — learning from places where alternatives are already alive and building coalitions to translate these insights across contexts. For us, imagination is not naïve: it is collaborative, outward‑looking, and strategic. Through research, co-design, exhibitions, strategic advising, and policy engagement, we support the development and implementation of alternatives that open space for more just, caring, and connected ways of living.
