About Living Skills In the Schools
Living Skills in the Schools (LSIS) is a substance abuse prevention and education program that has served Palm Beach County Students for over 20 years with free resources. Living Skills in the Schools exists because drugs and alcohol costs the United States more than $740 million dollars a year and 1 out of 4 children are exposed to substance abuse in their homes. We make a difference because only 20% of students are exposed to effective prevention programming. At (LSIS), we give students firsthand experience about the consequences of first use and help them recognize the progression of the disease. LSIS is real-life and allows for credible conversation and trust, to begin with students, peers and teachers and parents which aids in decision-making. Mission Statement To improve and enrich the lives of individuals and the communities that we serve by providing an educational and preventative substance abuse program.
