GET TO KNOW US: MISSION STATEMENT LLC Rise Above the Violence’s mission is to impact the social and emotional wellness of youth predisposed to violence through after-school seminars, workshops, camps, and community resources. VISION STATEMENT It is our vision that through prevention and intervention services, youth will recognize their significant value to the community, make responsible choices, and respect mutual disagreements using nonviolent conflict resolution techniques. GUIDING VALUES Confidence LLC Rise Above the Violence, Inc. believes that youth who are confident in their personal achievements are less likely to commit acts of violence. Through our programs and services, we work to ensure youth have numerous opportunities to build confidence in themselves and exhibit personal pride. Character Simply put, character counts. We focus on teaching socially acceptable behavior, leadership and civic engagement. Through these activities, youth learn disciple, respect for self and others, and most importantly, integrity. Connections LLC Rise Above the Violence supports positive connections between youth and key stakeholders, senior citizens, and local law enforcement. Youth who have supportive, healthy lifelong connections are less likely to entertain acts of violence.
