Let me introduce myself. My name is Les Glass and I have been in the financial industry for more than 30 years. The last 14 years of which has been with AIG, a well-known insurance and financial institution. I completed my education with a Master’s degree in finance. I pride myself on being attentive and listening to the people who come to me for advice. The majority of financial advisors have a set methodology when working with their clients. However, I believe that each client is unique and requires a plan that is tailored to their individual needs. Most of the clients I have worked with have been with me for many years. Years ago, a friend of mine was deep in debt due to their spouse secretly maxing out all their charge cards. Because of my expertise in the field of finance, I was asked to step in and help. On his behalf, I called the charge card companies, department stores, and debt collectors. I was able to negotiate the debt to a small manageable amount. This is one instance where I derive great satisfaction in turning their lives around for the better. When you work with me, you will never have to file for bankruptcy. I started doing tax returns for myself, family, and friends, when I was still a student at SUNY Albany. The one time in my life when I was audited, I came away with a larger refund than I started out with. Unlike most people, I look forward to tax season. Most tax preparers take the easy way out by using the standard deduction. I don’t do that if itemized deductions will get my clients a larger refund.
