LMPE srl Società Benefit is an Innovative Start-up. It was established in October 2016, is a spin-off affiliated with INSTM (National Interuniversity Consortium for Materials Science and Technology) of Florence - www.instm.it and is a Research Unit of the University of Pisa. LMPE is an Innovative Research and Development Laboratory that operates in the sector of Polymeric Materials and Eco-compatible Additives applicable in various commercial sectors such as packaging, medical, textile, agricultural, nutraceutical, paper, oil & gas. In the area of Sustainability, the focus is on Circular Economy, for this reason, since the beginning of 2019, LMPE has been a signatory member of the ICESP (Italian Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform) https://www.icesp.it/ Prof Emo Chiellini was one of the founders, he held the position of President until his death on August 2020 and represented the scientific guide in LMPE. The company is now led by 2 managing partners: • Luca Landini - CEO, who carries out the Directional, Operational and Administrative activities • Eng. Francesco Sandias - President, responsible for Business Development, Sustainability and Impact Benefit. LMPE within the Scientific Park of Capannori -LU, is integrated into RiLab, a group of laboratories, coordinated by the LUCENSE Research Body, aimed at the implementation of paths that lead, in the context of the Circular Economy, to the processes of ZERO industrial waste or an environmentally friendly second life for waste generated by Industry.
