About Local Energy Markets Alliance (LEMA)

LEMA (the Local Energy Markets Alliance) has been established by Gemserv and The Traxis Group as a members organisation to take the initiative in building the commercial momentum that will lead to market success. It will achieve this through a business led plan to develop market structures that simplify and normalise the commercial approach to Local Energy Systems. LEMA is three-phase programme to establish the business interactions and commercial foundations that will intelligently fund and take low carbon technologies into the mass market. LEMA will: 1. Generate the integrated propositions and business models that will maximise and share value. 2. Formalise or ‘paper’ the frameworks, agreements and other documentation to establish the approach. 3. Address the practical issues of implementing, learning and improving the LEMA approaches. LEMA will additionally act as a forum to exchange information and experience between its Members, whilst at all times taking reasonable steps to remind Members that such information exchanges should at all times remain within the boundaries of relevant Competition Law.
