Over the last 30 years we are proud to have connected thousands of local businesses with national retailers and foodservice customers, bringing more locally made products to menus and shelves across the land. Our new name, look and feel brings our core purpose to life, and much better reflects our mission to make it easy for everyone to enjoy great local food, everywhere. 65% of consumers want to eat more local food because they care about how and where their food is made, they believe in the quality and they want to support their local community. However locally made food still only accounts for a fraction of supermarket food sales and foodservice menu options. A Localist is someone who champions local in all its forms and advocates for the community. We believe that offering more local food not only helps to build quality credentials, differentiates ranges and menus, but directly pays back into the local communities in which we all live and work.
