About Location Extreme

Disruptive Technology for a changing world Location Extreme was founded by Stuart Wells and Simon Purves in 2010, with a vision to develop disruptive innovative technology for a changing world. Between 2014 and 2018 we pioneered the use of technologies that enabled us retask existing solutions to provide enterprise-level Cloud CRM solutions & services to SMEs and the mid-market. Our subscription-based cloud solution provides customers with access to a familiar CRM interface, GoldMine, accessed via a device-agnostic browser interface, and hosted in a secure, scalable array of Microsoft Azure datacentres across the geographies in which our customers operate. We now boast an impressive customer list including household names such as Marriott Hotels, Citroen, Peugeot, Bupa & Lloyds Banking Group. As a leadership team, we have shared interests, in sports, expeditions and outward bounds activities and the vision to develop disruptive, relevant and innovative technologies pervades location extreme. In 2019 we began a new projects team, pioneering development into a new amalgam of in house designed and developed, long-battery-life, individual, small but rugged GPS devices that would be capable of integrating in real-time with a secure cloud layer, data hub and analytics portal. In June 2020 our research to date meant that we were successful in being awarded a grant by Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, to develop our GPS / cloud system to be purposed within the UK's Track and Trace response to the Covid19 Pandemic. Looking ahead, past the pandemic, we will be launching a commercial GPS solution, Meili, that will provide long battery life (30 days+) individual GPS devices that report their location and movement data, simultaneously and in real time, to a secure cloud layer from where they can be analysed by authorised users, either individually or en masse, all viewable in Ordinance Survey and Streetmap layers via the Meili app. More to come!
