About Loker Student Union
More than a building, the Loker Student Union (LSU) is the living room and community center of the CSUDH campus where the facility, programs and services are specifically geared for the enhancement and development the university community. At the LSU, students, faculty, staff and guests can enjoy a wide variety of entertainment, grab a bite to eat, print a paper, meditate, reserve a meeting room or event space, enjoy social and quiet spaces, unwind in the game room, conduct a group study session, simply relax with friends and more! Current students are also encouraged to develop leadership skills by volunteering with the LSU Board of Directors or Activities Office. The Loker Student Union (LSU) currently employs 12 full-time professional staff members and 40 student staff members to support the overall operations of the facility, programs, services, and events within the University. The Loker Student Union provides an environment which is designed to encourage interaction among the campus’ constituent groups (internal and external), enhance the sense of campus community, and expand the avenues through which the university educates students. Through its many activities and services, the Loker Student Union provides cultural, social and recreational programming that supports the educational mission of the University, encouraging the development of citizenship, leadership, and social responsibility for success in a dynamic and pluralistic society.
