About London Chess Academy
London Chess Academy, the trading name of London Chess Club Ltd, is a chess coaching venture based in London, founded by chess coach and arbiter Shir Bar Tal. Since May 2021, we’ve been offering online chess lessons to players of all ages and skill levels. Our team includes Grandmasters and International Masters, and we work with students, schools, and companies worldwide, including in the UK, USA, Europe, and the Middle East. Our Services: Online private and group chess lessons School chess clubs (children and teenagers, ages 4 to 18) Corporate presentations on chess strategy and planning for businesses and startups At London Chess Academy, we believe chess is more than just a game. It’s a tool for life, helping players develop skills such as decision-making, problem-solving, time management, and focus. Our lessons are tailored to each student’s specific goals, ensuring that even two students with similar ratings may learn completely different things based on their individual needs and objectives. We aim to make chess an enjoyable experience, making learning both fun and impactful. We raised our first round of investment in December 2022 and our second round of investment in October 2023, and are currently raising capital for the next round. Our mission is to expand globally and offer a personalised, quality-first approach to chess coaching, applying chess to real-life situations and making it an enjoyable and valuable experience for all.
