About London Thunder Basketball Club
London Thunder was established in September 2007. The Director of Coaching is Steve Bucknall, the first Englishman to play in the NBA for the LA Lakers, he is ably supported by a highly qualified, experienced and committed voluntary leadership team. We are a strong team and fully believe that Together Everyone Achieves More. The club has developed from a community session with 12 youngsters to engaging with 1000+ young people every year. It now has in excess of 8 teams and prides itself on its inclusive approach and is one of the only clubs where both running and wheelchair sessions run alongside each other. We also provide community basketball sessions to encourage people to take part without the commitment of playing for a team.
