About Long Island Housing Partnership
Since its inception in 1988, the mission of the Long Island Housing Partnership, Inc. (LIHP) has been to provide affordable housing opportunities to those who, through the ordinary, unaided operation of the marketplace, would be unable to secure a decent and safe home or remain in a decent or safe home. LIHP and its Affiliates implement a multitude of programs to foster affordable housing for homebuyers and renters, including scattered-site developments; “smart growth” and transit oriented developments; renovation and re-sale of foreclosures; provision of down payment assistance; employer assisted housing; and education of prospective homebuyers.
