About Long Story TV
Long Story TV is a drama production company that thinks differently, bringing a fresh and fast-paced approach to creating successful returning series. It has a track record in making high quality, cost-effective television that has a strong commercial edge and broad international appeal. Built on the combined expertise and extensive experience of its founders, Paul Marquess (Hope Street, London Kills, Suspects, The Bill) and Donna Wiffen (Hope Street, The Light in the Hall, The Bill), Long Story TV is skilled in producing popular drama in volume, creating long-form series often with a strong authored voice; crime series that often have a lightness of touch combined with an engaging story arc and visual style. With an understanding of the need to create global drama rooted in local stories, the company has a deep knowledge of financing, co-producing and distribution and has a comprehensive network of relationships with broadcasters and platforms in the UK, US and internationally. The company has made 61 hours of primetime drama in the last three years, and credits to date include: Hope Street (35 x 50 mins), a returnable police series for the BBC and BritBox set in Northern Ireland; London Kills (20 x 60’), a British police procedural series for Acorn, and The Light in the Hall, a 6 x 60’ psychological thriller co-produced with Triongl and APC Studios for S4C, Channel 4 and Sundance Now. Long Story TV is currently in pre-production for season four of Hope Street and season two of The Light in the Hall. The company is also developing a number of new, returnable, formats – in close collaboration with various broadcasters.
